I had the pleasure of working with Aaron Gillespie's (Underoath's amazing drummer) side project, "The Almost".
This is the first time I've ever only arrived to shoot the headliner. (I had a prior engagement)
I had arrived during the set change, and while waiting I actually took two photos which I like a lot.
After peeking at the setlist, I was excited to see that the opening song would be "Say This Sooner".
A lot of my really good shots didn't come out during their first song because somebody had forgotten to turn the other lights on, and this issue wasn't resolved until the second song. (or maybe that's just how they open.. who knows?)
If you haven't been to this tour yet, I'll go ahead and tell you that they play an amazing cover of "Yellow"(coldplay).
A few people at this show were so kind, and actually went out of their way to help me get some nice shots of the guys.
I really wish I would have had my cards on me so I could have given them a free print. :-(
I left before the show was over, and I heard from a fan that 'Envy On The Coast' actually led people down to a nearby parking lot for an acoustic set. BUMS
I don't think I posted about this before, but some people have been spotting me at different shows and keep commenting about it on myspace. Too cool =-)
